Credentials
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia and the founder of Lynly Timmerman Counseling & Consulting. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and bring over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. Since 2013, I’ve worked closely with neurodivergent individuals, especially those on the autism spectrum. As a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS), I integrate trauma-informed, person-centered practices into every aspect of my work
As a self-identified neurodivergent person and a parent navigating neurodivergence at home, this work is deeply personal. I understand the layered experience of sensory sensitivity, emotional intensity, and the fierce desire to create spaces where authenticity feels safe. That lived understanding informs the way I show up—with softness, curiosity, and spaciousness.
My approach is warm, affirming, and deeply attuned to the unique rhythms of each client especially those navigating sensory sensitivity, identity development, or emotional regulation. I serve clients virtually throughout Georgia and Florida, and I provide home-based evaluations in and around Bainbridge, Georgia.
I built this practice as a place where healing meets story, and softness is strength. I meet people where they are, honor what makes them beautifully singular, and hold space for the in-between the quiet knowing, the unraveling, the return. My work centers those who feel too much, think deeply, or long for something gentler than the world often offers.
As an author, I write for the quiet kids, the sensory seekers, the ones who say “no” with courage even before they have the language. My stories, like Not Today, Noodles offer comfort, connection, and a place to land.
Alongside me is always the clowder: October, Sahara, Calliope, Karma, and Rhanyaera. Each carries their own sacred spark—October the observant, Rhay the ethereal—and together they serve as soft-eyed companions and story keepers, weaving their quiet magic into everything I do.
This is more than a practice. More than a bookshop.
It’s a small rebellion of softness, a gentle corner of the world for those still learning to trust their voice, their rhythm, and their worth.
